Central Park

Rybnitsa Town Park was founded in 1967. The park remains an important symbol of the town to this day. Also its most recognizable site – the fountain – completely changed its exterior after a major reconstruction in 2019.

On November 21, 1998, on the 370th anniversary of the founding of Rybnitsa, a memorial sign “History frozen in stone” was placed in the park. The authors of the monument were A.M. Pokusinsky and I.P. Moseichuk.

The stone, which later became a monument, was brought from the Moldavian town of Rezina, located opposite Rybnitsa, on the other side of the Dniester river. Initially, the stone weighed 15 tons, while 5 tons were lost during operation.

The memorial sign has the form of an open book, that symbolizes history. The pen and inkwell, symbolizing knowledge and life, mean that the chronicle of the town continues.
