Memorial to fallen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War in the village of Tashlyk

In the bed of honour in the village of Tashlyk 560 soldiers and four Heroes of the Soviet Union who died during the Great Patriotic War are buried.

In 2010, the mass grave was reconstructed and now bears the name “Memorial to the fallen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War in the village of Tashlyk of the Grigoriopol district”. Today, the memorial is a whole complex of objects built here at different times.

On the memorial, there are busts of three Heroes of the Soviet Union: A.A. Antonov­, SV. Tselykh and I.P. Korobkin.

There are also 50 memorial slabs with the names of all soldiers buried in the bed of honour, as well as a five-pointed star of the Eternal Flame and granite slab with the data of Hero of the Soviet Union, K.­­­ Dzharkimbayev.

The monument in the form of numbers “1944” is installed on the 20th anniversary of the liberation of the village from Nazi invaders.

An integral part of the memorial complex is a granite slab with an image of the map of military operations.
